Questions we hear on every demo.
What happens if we need more than twelve transcripts in a month?
You’re never cut off. Additional transcripts bill at $50 each on the Team plan — far cheaper than the analyst hours it would take to watch them manually. If your volume is consistently over twelve, we’ll often move you to Enterprise where the per-transcript cost is included.
How do you handle our confidential client data?
Seriously. Your writing samples, generated memos, and workspace data are encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.2+, isolated per organization with Row Level Security (your data never touches another customer’s queries), and stored on dedicated Postgres instances — not shared tenants. All AI processing happens in U.S. data centers. Our LLM providers (Google Vertex AI as primary, Anthropic Claude as fallback) are contractually blocked from using your data to train or fine-tune their models. We don’t train ours on your data either. Generated memos auto-delete seven days after their last edit; writing samples stay under your control until you delete them. Our full privacy policy has the details.
What does onboarding look like?
Most teams are up and running the same day. We’ll set up your organization’s workspace, help you upload example memos so Ghostwriter can match your firm’s voice, and walk your team through the platform. For firms with bespoke workflows we offer additional white-glove onboarding at no extra cost.
Why is the Team plan capped at five seats?
It covers the core legislative team for most mid-size firms. Larger teams — or firms that want interns and contractors included — move to Enterprise for unlimited seats and custom pricing.
Can’t our engineers just build this with Whisper and ChatGPT?
We love that you’re building — and we’d rather help you than compete with you. The unsexy parts of Congressional transcription take years of ML engineering most teams don’t want to spend on plumbing: multi-signal speaker identification through cross-talk, speech models trained on policy-specific jargon, retrieval systems for grounding every claim in the exact source-video moment, and the evaluation infrastructure to keep quality at 99% across thousands of hearings. If you want clean machine-readable transcripts and member data to build on top of, talk to us — we can set up a JSON feed that gives your engineers the foundation while they focus on the differentiated stuff that actually matters to your firm.
